The San Diego East County Economic Development Council, founder and creator of the Connectory.com, also offers many great resources specific to San Diego, including a free monthly newsletter offering recent business and economic articles about East County as well as a calendar with many great upcoming San Diego small business networking, workshops, and training opportunities. Its subregional focus is on the cities of El Cajon, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, and Santee and the urbanized unincorporated areas of Alpine, Lakeside, and Spring Valley. To the extent the primary industry reaches into other East County communities, the East County EDC acts as a resource and information clearinghouse for economic, business support, workforce, infrastructure topics.
