Portals hosted on Connectory.com leverage the high-quality content, IT infrastructure, and administrative management features of the main Connectory platform. This platform evolved over years of development based on what works and what doesn't and was made possible by significant investment from the private, public and non-profit sectors.
Portals are built on the main Connectory platform and segment the database content into Communities of Interest (COI) that may be based on Geography, Industry, or other COI criteria.
When you search within a specific portal, your search results will be limited to those profiles that meet the selection criteria (sort parameters) for that portal. Users may always return to the main Connectory at any time by clicking on the Home link on the Blue menu bar.
Each Portal contains six standard pages with portal-specific content:
- Search - searches return only those profiles that meet portal selection criteria
- Maps - An interactive map illustrates the distribution of portal assets profiled in Connectory.com
- Links - Specific to the geographic, industry, or other COI focus of the portal
